About the Instructor

Dr. Poonam Goswami

Dr. Poonam Goswami is a PhD degree holder in Indian Mythology and a dedicated teacher of Vedic Astrology (Jyotish Shastra), whose work is deeply inspired by the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Her academic research in Indian mythology enables her to interpret ancient narratives, symbols, and deities in the light of karma, dharma, and cosmic order, as taught by Lord Krishna in the Gita. Rooted in the Gita’s vision that human life unfolds under divine laws yet allows conscious choice, Dr. Goswami teaches Vedic astrology as a guiding science rather than a fatalistic tool. She emphasizes the Gita’s message— “Uddhared ātmanātmānam”—that self-awareness and right action can elevate one’s destiny, even within karmic influences reflected in the horoscope.

By integrating Bhagavad Gita philosophy, mythological symbolism, and classical Jyotish principles, Dr. Poonam Goswami helps students understand planetary influences as expressions of Ishvara’s cosmic design, meant for inner growth and spiritual evolution. Her teaching inspires learners to align astrological knowledge with karma yoga, bhakti, and jnana, using astrology as a path toward clarity, balance, and self-realization.
